Innovate for Impact Challenge invites applications from African agri-tech startups

The Innovate for Impact Challenge, which invites innovative businesspeople from all over the world to present ground-breaking technologies targeted at transforming agriculture, is open to African startups.

The Innovate for Impact Challenge, administered by the World Food Prize Foundation, is available to early-stage, for-profit agri-tech startups. Startups will be assessed based on their impact, market potential, contribution to sustainability, and scalability.

All finalists will receive international recognition by showcasing their solutions at the 2025 Borlaug Dialogue in Des Moines, Iowa, which is expected to bring together more than 1,500 food and agricultural leaders from more than 70 countries. First place will receive US$50,000, second place US$10,000, and third place US$5,000.

Additionally, there will be chances to interact with investors, business leaders, other entrepreneurs, legislators, and possible international partners.

Applications are open here until April 15.
