IoT service firm UnaBiz received $25 M in extended Series B round
IoT service company UnaBiz, located in Singapore, has increased its series B fundraising round by US $25 million. Sparx Group, a Japanese investment company, served as its leader, while G K Goh Holdings and Optimal Investment also took part.
UnaBiz concluded the transaction at over US $50 million after adding the first series B investment of about US $25 million that it received last year.
The start-up supports businesses in the development, production, and management of connection and data platform services for IoT solutions.
In addition to research facilities in Taiwan and France, UnaBiz now has sales offices in Tokyo, Paris, Madrid, and Rotterdam. It was founded by Henri Bong and Philippe Chiu in 2016. More than 240 people work there.
The company plans to use the new funds for both sales and research.
UnaBiz purchased the French Internet of Things company Sigfox earlier this year. Sigfox links more than 10 million sensors for 1,500 businesses through its 0G network.
