IPV led $1.15 M Seed funding raised by frozen foods tech platform FroGo
The tech platform FroGo for frozen foods has raised $1.15 million in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures. Ritesh Agarwal, Ankit Nagori, Desai Ventures, FAAD network, and other investors also took part in the round.
FroGo stated in a press release that the funds will be used to develop technology with fully integrated temperature monitoring and to expand to 50 dark stores across 4 cities in order to accelerate the company’s growth trajectory.
FroGo, which was founded in March 2022 by Mira Jhala, is in charge of frozen food’s retail and distribution. Through the creation of a vast network of dark stores throughout India, a single distributorship, and efficient operations across several demand channels, the initiative seeks to gain advantages from greater adoption, customer convenience, and decreased mobility.
According to the Gurugram-based startup, over 15 dark stores in the Delhi-NCR area receive over 7,000 orders for frozen foods each month.
The Indian frozen food market is dominated by companies such as Innovative Foods (Sumeru), Godrej Tyson Foods Limited, Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable, McCain India Pvt Limited, and Venky’s (India) Limited.
