IPV led Rs 1.8 Cr Seed funding raised by e-commerce platform Direct2U
A seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures raised Rs 1.8 crore for the e-commerce platform Direct2U. This is the company’s first round, and it is based in Bengaluru.
According to a press release from Direct2U, the company intends to use the funds raised for technology development, hiring, marketing, and an expansion plan.
Direct2U, a B2B2C-supported e-commerce platform founded by Gaurav Ahlawat, offers door-to-door delivery and access to financing for rural markets. Their close ties to numerous brands, including Samsung, Vivo, Prestige, and others, enable the rural market to choose from a variety of goods. Its distinctive OTP mechanism and visual delivery proof contribute to the MFI partners’ growing trust in it.
Direct2U describes it as a consumer durables market that combines lead generation, order fulfillment, cash (online transfer), and credit purchase options, as well as doorstep delivery for the demand-rich, underserved rural Indian consumers in the deep rural pockets of Bharat.
Direct2U claims to have 23 warehouses with a growth of 12% in February 2023 and is present in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Odisha. To invest in pre-Series A to Series B growth-stage startups, Inflection Point Ventures had previously launched a $50 million CAT 2 AIF Physis Capital.
