IPV led Rs 2.75 Cr Seed funding raised by drone manufacturer InsideFPV
Inflection Point Ventures-led seed round raises Rs 2.75 crores for drone manufacturer InsideFPV.
The money will be used for product development, marketing, and research, according to InsideFPV.
InsideFPV, a company founded by Arth Chowdhary and Deyvant Bhardwaj, provides customers with affordable products that are specially made to be crash-resistant, ensuring the durability and longevity of their drones.
Drones are expensive to own and are primarily used for commercial, military, and agricultural purposes. By providing consumers with first-of-their-kind Plug and Fly drones with FPV (First Person View) features at a competitive price, InsideFPV aims to close this gap.
The company has been acknowledged by the Indian government as a startup in the Robotics Industry by Startup India and has appeared on Shark Tank India.
In spite of the funding crisis, drone startups have been doing well. One of the most well-funded startups in this field, ideaForge, went public last month. Garuda Aerospace, Omnipresent Robot, and Aereo (previously Aarav Unmanned Systems) are also thinking about going public in the following few years. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former captain of the Indian cricket team, helped Garuda raise $22 million in a Series A round in February of this year. Coromandel International Limited, a provider of agricultural solutions, recently announced the acquisition of Dhaksha, a producer of drones powered by gasoline engines and intended for use in agricultural spraying.
