WhatsApp Business beta users will now be able to filter their conversations and messages using sophisticated search criteria such as Contacts, Non-contacts, and Unread.
“When you use these options, you can quickly view results that meet your condition, and you can even combine different conditions – for example, searching for photos from non-contacts,” a post on WABetaInfo read.
Both Android and iOS users may take advantage of this functionality. WhatsApp Messenger, on the other hand, will not get the functionality since it is more beneficial on WhatsApp Business.
The Broadcast Lists and New Group buttons will apparently be relocated to a different section of the app.
According to rumours, WhatsApp is working on a new feature called Communities.
“…we have also noticed new hidden references about communities, a new place where to link up to 10 groups at once, available in a future update, in particular a new mysterious group,” read another report on WABetaInfo.
On iOS, it just put out a feature that allows WhatsApp Messenger beta testers to see profile images in alerts. Other users should be able to utilise the functionality soon.
