Japan’s oVice raised $32 M to expand its market
Virtual office software provider oVice, located in Japan, has received US $32 million in series B fundraising from an unidentified consortium of domestic and foreign investors. After the round, the business raised a total of US $45 million.
The software by oVice, which was introduced in 2020, offers enterprises affected by the epidemic customisable virtual offices, classes, and event spaces.
Currently, the company claims to have long-term contracts with more than 2,200 organizations and generates yearly recurring income of over US $6 million. Additionally, since its introduction, it has generated over 30,000 spaces and has over 60,000 daily active users.
The funding will be used to create fresh hybrid work solutions and to facilitate team alignment between the office and remote staff. Additionally, the business intends to increase its spending on hiring new employees, marketing initiatives, and its aspirations to expand into North America, Europe, and other continents.
Jim Tamura, the former CEO of Asana Japan, has also been named as oVice’s COO.
The mission of oVice, according to CEO Sae Hyung Jung, is to design a platform that reduces friction in remote and hybrid workflows through team building, immediate communication, and staff onboarding.
