Jungle Ventures, Peak VX led $2.1 M funding received by cloud-based SaaS platform Neurowyzr

“The brain is a complex organ, and also the least understood,” Pang Sze Yunn, co-founder and CEO of Singapore-based healthtech platform Neurowyzr, told media.

Pang claims that early brain deterioration can take place 20 to 40 years before symptoms like dementia, mental illnesses, or stroke become obvious.

“By then, therapies have little impact,” she added. “Traditional brain tests are inefficient, expensive and inaccessible.”

Neurowyzr, a cloud-based SaaS platform that analyzes brain function and provides instant medical reports using a series of gamified puzzles, was founded in 2019 by Pang and its chief digital neuroscientist Nav Vij to fill this gap.

In its seed round, which was jointly led by Jungle Ventures and Peak XV’s Surge, the company has raised an additional US $2.1 million. To date, Neurowyzr has raised US $3.3 million in funding.

The additional funds will be used to support the healthtech company’s product development and accelerate its expansion throughout Southeast Asia and India. It intends to expand operations eventually throughout Asia and the US.

Currently, Neurowyzr offers two products: Attayn Corporate, a business solution, and the Digital Brain Function Screen (DBFS), a digital medical test to check for signs of early brain aging.

For primary care settings like general practitioner clinics and health screening facilities, DBFS was created. It costs up to ten times less than traditional tests that require trained personnel and potentially expensive MRI/CT scans that can cost more than S$8,000 (US $5,891). It also doesn’t require neurospecialists or specialized equipment.

Attayn Corporate, meanwhile, supports staff members in creating personalized growth plans that are specifically targeted to enhance or preserve their cognitive function. Additionally, it gives businesses anonymized data to create wellness and training initiatives.

United Overseas Bank, Parkway Shenton, SATA CommHealth, Farrer Park Hospital, MHC Medical Centre (Amara), and O’Joy are a few of Neurowyzr’s clients.
