Kalaari, others led $4 M secured by women career engagement platform HerKey

Kalaari, 360 ONE Asset, and angel investors including Zia Mody, Puneet Dalmia, Pramit Jhaveri, Aditi and Shuchi Kothari, KP Balaraj, Ranjan Pai, Neeraj Bajaj, Akash Bhansali, and others have contributed $4 million to HerKey, an Indian platform for career engagement for women.

Through its CXXO program, an effort to level the playing field for Indian female founders and CEOs, Kalaari Capital supported the investment.

According to a press release from HerKey, the platform aims to close the gender wage gap in India, where only 20% of women work, compared to 60% in China and 55% in the US.

HerKey, formerly known as JobsForHer, assists businesses in developing a diverse and inclusive workplace, luring and keeping top talent, and positively impacting their bottom line.

Over 3.5 million women are currently served by HerKey, and the company plans to grow to support 30 million women’s careers in India.

Employers interact with female candidates throughout their entire career lifecycle, from recruitment to retention to promotion, using the HerKey platform. There are currently over 10,000 companies on the platform, and HerKey is inviting more businesses to do so in order to open up opportunities, learning opportunities, and communities for female candidates.
