KarirLab received undisclosed Pre-seed funding from Alpha JWC Ventures, M Venture Partners
A pre-seed round led by Alpha JWC Ventures and M Venture Partners raised an undisclosed sum for KarirLab, an Indonesian career platform for college students and recent graduates.
Tessa Saraswati, Stephanus Wicardo, and William Surya Wijaya founded the business in 2022, and it provides services like a resume builder and reviewer, a job vacancy portal, career development workshops, and talent management.
According to a statement from KarirLab, its platform has been used by “hundreds of thousands” of users to post thousands of job openings from hundreds of Indonesian businesses in the first half of this year.
According to data from Statistics Indonesia, 14% of Indonesia’s unemployed people had college degrees as of February 2022.
With the additional funding, the company plans to grow its workforce, quicken the process of developing and improving its products, and forge strategic alliances with employers and academic institutions.
The platform is also being examined for AI integration to increase personalization, the company said.
KarirLab has collaborated with universities to host a number of live and virtual career events, including the combined attendance of over 20,000 students at the UI Career, Internship, Scholarship, and Entrepreneurship Hybrid Expo 2023 and KarirFest by KarirLab.
