Kitchenware brand P-Tal raises $3 M funding from VC Grid and Rainmatter

The luxury kitchenware company P-Tal (Punjab Thathera Art Legacy), which offers handcrafted copper, brass, and bronze items, has raised $3 million in a funding round headed by VC Grid and Rainmatter, a company owned by Nithin Kamath.

Anicut Capital, Zeropearl VC, Connecticut Innovations, and a number of angel investors also participated in the round.

Two months ago, Entrackr was the only outlet to report on the development.

The money will be used to grow its international business, which currently generates almost 60% of its income, strengthen its position in the US, and enter the Middle East, Europe, and the UK. Moreover, it will boost R&D to create regionally tailored products for new markets.

P-Tal was founded by Aditya Agrawal (CEO) and offers a variety of products, such as dinnerware, tableware, cooking utensils, and daily necessities, starting at Rs 1,500. This modernizes traditional Indian kitchenware. These goods, which combine traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, are handcrafted by 110 artisan families in Jandiala Guru, Amritsar, and Jagadhri, Haryana.

In addition to two physical stores in India, the company sells its goods online and through e-commerce and quick commerce platforms.

Prior to this, Titan Capital led P-Tal in raising roughly $550,000 in 2023, bringing its total funding to almost $3.6 million. Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Amit Jain, Namita Thapar, and Vineeta Singh contributed Rs 1 crore to the project, which was also highlighted in Shark Tank India’s third season.
