Kombai raised $4.5 M Seed funding from Stellaris Venture Partners, Foundation Capital
Stellaris Venture Partners and Foundation Capital led a $4.5 million seed round of funding for front-end devtools startup Kombai. Some chief technology officers and executives from software startups took part in the funding as angel investors.
The funds, according to Kombai, will be used to boost the developer experience surrounding the product and to improve compatibility with a variety of libraries and frameworks.
Kombai, an artificial intelligence company founded by Dipanjan Dey and Abhijit Bhole, creates new AI models that can comprehend and program user interface (UI) designs like humans. On Wednesday, it will also debut the public research preview.
The UI code can then be modified, added to codebases, and downloaded or copied into integrated development environments.
Pune-based Kombai claims to have engaged with more than 500 developers during the past six months as part of its private research preview.
A $3.6 million pre-Series A funding round in the business-to-business (B2B) analytics software company Factors.ai was led by Stellaris last month.
