Kyanda, a Kenyan money transfer startup extends to SA

Kyanda, a money transfer software developed by a Kenyan fintech firm, has begun operating in South Africa. Its customers may use it to conduct various transactions at the lowest possible cost.

Collins Kathuli introduced Kyanda in February 2020. Among other things, it enables users to send money quickly and cheaply, buy airtime, and pay bills.

Since its founding, the firm has completed over three million transactions. According to Kathuli, as per reports. The company’s objective is to create a payment ecosystem that benefits both Kenya and all of Africa. South Africa is the starting point of a larger expansion adventure, with over US $10 billion being transferred inside the country each year and over 24 million South Africans exchanging money with each other every day.

“We have other markets in our pipeline. This would be achieved best once we establish the market fit for our products, and of course, after we’ve built firm roots in the current locations we’re present,” said Kathuli.
