Latest VC4A Venture Showcase now accepting applications
The annual VC4A Venture Showcase, which enables African founders of innovative and disruptive startups and scaleups to present their companies to the most active investors on the continent, is now accepting applications.
The VC4A Venture Showcase Africa alumni have raised over US $630 million since the event’s launch in 2017, and this year’s edition is looking for startups that are based in Africa, making money, and looking to raise a seed or Series A round. The Venture Showcase is sector-neutral and focuses on high-impact, high-growth businesses that are bolstering the continent’s economy.
Since the African European Digital Innovation Bridge (AEDIB) and Work in Progress are partners on this year’s edition, there will be four additional tracks in addition to seed and series A, including one each for climate-smart agriculture, smart cities, digital trade, and clean technology.
The VC4A Venture Showcase deal room, which features more than 200 early-stage investor organizations, as well as Investor Readiness Training (IRT), mentorship, and technical support from partnering VC investors and corporates, will be accessible to selected ventures.
The deadline for applications is May 17.
