Suraj Palekar is the founder of Lucid Trails, a start-up that brings global tourism specific infotainment & services on a single platform. Suraj was in conversation with INCUBEES, where he told us about his start-up Lucid Trails.
INCUBEES: Tell us about your product or services?
Suraj: We are an online company that brings global tourism specific infotainment & services on a single platform. We are all about the global travel industry. From amazing shows to the st travel news; from services that support your travel & hospitality business to handpicked travel accessories; from upcoming events around the world to a travel forum to connect with travel enthusiasts globally.
INCUBEES: What makes your product/services unique and what competition do you see in India and globally?
Suraj: We are not just 1 product but we are an ecosystem around travel & most of our services are either free or at the lowest market rate.
As of now, we see no competition as a product put together. As mentioned earlier we are an ecosystem around travel.
INCUBEES: What are the challenges you see in the market at this point in time?
Suraj: The greatest challenge we see now is the speed, we aren’t seeing a speedy recovery of the travel/hospitality industry but we know for sure it will recover soon.
INCUBEES: Tell us about your team and what inspires them?
Suraj: We have a small team of 7 as of now, handling various job profiles and in fact mostly multi-tasking. As a startup, multi-tasking is the only option.
What inspires them the most is the fact that we have been very well appreciated and accepted in the market and definitely a healthy work environment
INCUBEES: Where do you see your product/service reaching in the next five-years?
Suraj: I see Lucid Trails going global in the coming years.
INCUBEES: Do you have plans to raise funding to grow your business or allow your business to organically grow?
Suraj: Definitely raise funds. I am looking at taking it to a global level asap so we will need more funds.
INCUBEES: What are the challenges you face as a startup?
Suraj: Raising funds and investments is a major challenge.
