Lumikai led $1.2 M Seed funding raised by AskMyGuru

AskMyGuru, an interactive spiritual-tech platform, has raised $1.2 million in a seed funding round led by Lumikai, an interactive media and gaming venture capital fund that invested $800K. M-League, DeVC, and a few angel investors, including former Match Group Americas CEO Amarnath Thombre, also participated.
According to a press release from AskMyGuru, the money raised will be used to improve the company’s proprietary Ved Vyas AI engine, expand its language support beyond English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu, and improve the product roadmap.
Based on the principles of the Vedic Shastras, AskMyGuru was co-founded in 2025 by Krishna Mohan Vedula and Vivek Sadamate with the goal of redefining astrological guidance and spirituality via cutting-edge interactive experiences. The platform combines gamification, artificial intelligence, and extensively studied Indic knowledge systems to create a new kind of spiritual technology that is both globally relevant and culturally relevant.
By providing gurus with a steady income stream, AskMyGuru seeks to modernize the spiritual sector for the digital era. It reimagines spiritual counseling as an immersive online experience that uses carefully crafted interactions to build deep connections. The startup is a prime example of “Systems of Play,” which are products that use lean, interactive, and gamified technology to disrupt established industries.
Additionally, AskMyGuru intends to expand its industry knowledge in the areas of career, relationship, and financial counseling. It might have direct or indirect competition from other platforms in this market, like Astrosage and Astrotalk.
An interactive media and gaming venture capital firm, Lumikai makes investments in businesses that straddle the boundaries of new media, culture, and technology. Among the top interactive media firms in India, it has provided support to Elo Elo, Bombay Play, All Star Games, Studio Sirah, Supernova, Autovrse, Vobble, and Mayhem Studios.
