MatchLog Solutions raised $1.5 M Pre-series A funding from Motion, July Ventures
With participation from Venture Catalysts, Blue Ashva Capital, and Capital A, MatchLog Solutions, a sustainable container logistics and supply chain optimization company, has raised $1.5 million in its pre-series A round led by Motion Ventures and July Ventures.
Rainmatter Climate Technologies, Capital-A, and Blue Ashva Capital had contributed $3 million to MatchLog’s fundraising earlier in 2022.
According to a press release from the company, the money raised will be utilized to improve container logistics’ carbon efficiency and sustainability. Along with increasing MatchLog’s market presence, the investment will strengthen strategic alliances and foster deeper cooperation within the international port and shipping communities.
Triangulating import containers with export requirements is MatchLog’s method of reducing the number of trips empty containers take back to their depots and effectively eliminating needless dry runs.
With its growth, MatchLog hopes to expand its reach and size throughout India and maximize the effectiveness of transport logistics and container usage. It is anticipated that this strategic expansion will handle approximately 4-5 million containers a year, which will significantly reduce 200,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
As it continues to set new industry standards, the startup claims to eliminate 10 billion km of needless travel worldwide in the EXIM container supply chain.
