BetterSpace, a mental health technology startup, has raised Rs 45 lakh in PedalStart-led pre-seed funding.

According to a press release from BetterSpace, the company intends to use the money raised to optimize technology, create a new product line, improve marketing and brand visibility, and enhance its current offline and online services.

BetterSpace, which Shivli and Abhilash Shrivastava co-founded in 2020, offers community engagement programs, psychologist-led counseling workshops, and other initiatives aimed at resolving a variety of mental health issues. Additionally, the startup offers counseling, content, and other tactical interventions in a number of colloquial languages.

BetterSpace claims to have created its mobile application as well as additional self-paced tools and resources to support personal development and improve mental health. The company plans to introduce more cutting-edge tech-enabled mental wellness solutions, including Therapy Pods—dedicated rooms in hospitals designed to address patients’ privacy concerns while receiving therapy—Imagi Box, a therapy box for kids with learning and cognitive challenges, and a mental wellness game for families.

According to the Raipur-based company, it has facilitated over 5,000 offline sessions in various settings such as corporate offices, hospitals, community centers, and schools.

In this field, Wysa, Innerhour, Juno Clinic, YourDOST, eSpyClinic, and Trijog are among the other noteworthy businesses.
