Morocco’s Enakl raises $2.3 M to promote intelligent shared mobility

A US $2.3 million seed round of funding has been closed by Moroccan startup Enakl to support the growth and development of its intelligent shared mobility product.
Enakl, which was founded in 2022 by Samir Bennani and Charles Pommarède, creates and runs smart shared mobility solutions that speed up the shift to more environmentally friendly transportation, ease urban traffic, and make it easier to find work.
The startup creates a proprietary technology that makes it possible to create, implement, and manage flexible, efficient shared transportation networks in real time.
After completing an initial round of US$1.4 million at the end of 2024, its US$2.3 million seed round was finalized in December. In addition to the reinvestment of two current investors, Catalyst Fund and Digital Africa, the round includes three new Moroccan investors: Azur Innovation Fund, Witamax, and MFounders.
While preparing for the launch of its SaaS offering, Enakl will use the funding to expedite the deployment of its intelligent shared mobility solutions for businesses, public-sector actors, and end users. The startup intends to test new development models for ridepooling fleets and bolster its commercial teams.
The platform is now fully functional and extensively used in the field following 18 months of research and development. A significant turning point in Enakl’s growth with public-sector stakeholders was reached in 2025 when it was awarded its first pilot public contract with the Casablanca–Settat Region.
“Enakl addresses a structural challenge in mobility and fleet optimisation, with a technological and operational approach that convinced us of its strong value-creation potential. The team and the quality of execution already demonstrated in a fast-growing market fully align with our early-stage investment thesis,” said Adnane Filali, managing partner at Azur Innovation Fund.
“MFounders chose to invest in ENAKL for the quality of its founding team, recognised for its deep expertise in transport in Morocco. Convinced that transport is a key lever for urban and rural development, MFounders is also backing a scalable model designed to expand in Morocco and internationally,” said Ilan Benhaim, an investor at MFounders.
