MoU signed between IIT Bombay’s startup incubator SINE and Microsoft
The Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), a group at IIT Bombay that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship and supports digital start-ups, announced that it has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Microsoft to boost SINE companies.
As part of this partnership, SINE and Microsoft will look at prospects that will allow entrepreneurs at SINE to benefit from Microsoft services and software, as well as access to GitHub and M365 resources, training on Azure, and mentor networks. Startups will benefit even more from this partnership’s special access to Microsoft’s executives and subject matter experts. In order to choose and welcome entrepreneurs to Founder’s Hub, Microsoft and SINE will also collaborate. The Azure community programme offers selected entrepreneurs the chance to participate as well.
“With more and more focus shifting towards cloud-based technology solutions across different sectors, Microsoft’s history and experience of being the leading global technology giant will surely benefit our startups and we hope they can leverage this partnership to the fullest,” said Poyni Bhat, Chief Executive Officer, SINE.
Microsoft will also give entrepreneurs at SINE access to flexible, scalable resources (such as API integration with GitHub, trips to the Microsoft Tech Center in Bengaluru to showcase the value of technology, and planned in-person/online sessions). “Microsoft Azure platform hosts a wide array of products and cloud services which can help startups solve today’s challenges and design solutions for the future. We are thrilled to collaborate with SINE, IIT Bombay to empower startups to harness the power of the cloud, enabling them to turn meaningful innovation into actionable results,” said Himani Agrawal, Country Head, Azure, Microsoft India.
