New Innovation Fund launched by GSMA to empower AI innovations

Businesses utilizing AI and cutting-edge technologies to bring about revolutionary change can apply for grants of up to GBP250,000 (US $310,000) and customized venture-building assistance from the GSMA Innovation Fund.
The GSMA Innovation Fund for Impactful AI, in collaboration with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), seeks to support small and expanding businesses in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs) in the Pacific, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
The project aims to tackle a significant worldwide issue: making sure LMICs don’t fall behind in the AI revolution and can use cutting-edge, portable technologies to promote sustainable and inclusive development.
The grants, which will be given over a period of 15 to 18 months, will range from GBP100,000 (US $125,000) to GBP250,000 (US $310,000), allowing businesses to test and scale solutions that tackle important problems.
Businesses will be able to attract investors, form alliances with mobile network operators, and create scalable business plans with the aid of customized support. The recipients will be able to expand their technical and operational skills through boot camps, learning exchanges, and international industry events like MWC.
Applications are open here until March 19.
