Nine years of startup opportunities demand a shift in perspective: UM Jitendra Singh

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh stated that a change in perspective is necessary in light of the StartUp avenues that have emerged over the past nine years.

“The nine years of Narendra Modi led government have been, without any doubt, youth-centric but what is required is the change of mindset for optimum utilisation of avenues and various initiatives provided for the youth of this country,” said Dr Singh addressing Y20 (Yuva Utsav) with the theme India@2047 organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra in Kathua district.

The youth of this nation are inundated with opportunities, he claimed, and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is steadfast and committed to giving them a level playing field at all levels.

The best example is the elimination of interviews for positions that are not listed in the government’s gazette. More than 2000 rules were also eliminated, many of which Dr. Jitendra said were barriers to youth development.

According to Dr. Singh, it is only because of the youth of this country who have aspirations but earlier did not have the right kind of milieu and aspirational environment as provided under PM Narendra Modi that the start-up ecosystem in India is now ranked third in the world with more than 100 unicorns.

He claimed that due to the Aroma Mission’s training of thousands of people and the enormous amount of farmer revenue it has thus far generated across the nation, Start-ups with roots in J&K are being drawn to the initiative.

Since the purple revolution in Jammu and Kashmir offers appealing start-up opportunities for the youth of J&K, Dr. Singh continued, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir must see Aroma Mission as one of their best opportunities when it comes to start-ups knocking on their doors.

Dr. Singh stated today that because India is a young country with strength in its Yuva Shakti, youth are change catalysts and will drive India’s future.

The Prime Minister has emerged as the tallest leader in the world, capable of handling any challenge through stable governance and administration, the Minister claimed, adding that India’s reputation has changed as a result of his fearless leadership.

According to Dr. Singh, there were 145 medical colleges in the nation prior to 2014, and 265 more have been added over the past nine years.

In a similar vein, 300 new universities were added to the nation’s 725 total universities. In the past nine years, the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna has added seven lakh kilometers of road length throughout the nation, and the Mudra Loan Scheme has given beneficiaries loans totalling Rs. 23 lakh crores.

The successful conclusion of the G20 Meeting in Srinagar is evidence of this change, according to Dr. Singh, who also stated that Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of renewed growth and development. The Government is dedicated to transforming Jammu and Kashmir.
