Nutrition brand Upnourish acquired by Pluckk for $1.4 M
For $1.4 million, the fresh fruit and vegetable platform Pluckk purchased the nutrition brand Upnourish.
It will be able to broaden its product offerings and concentrate on the development of a new nutrition-focused vertical thanks to this acquisition.
Upnourish is a mobile meal delivery service that offers customized nutrition plans along with smoothies, soups, and bars. It was founded in 2021 by Aayushi and Kuonal Lakhapati.
Using the “farm-to-table” idea, Pluckk offers fruits, vegetables, meal kits, juices, dips, soups, smoothies, and salads. It operates out of Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. It sells the products via its app and website, as well as e-commerce and quick commerce platforms like Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Blinkit, and Flipkart Minutes.
Pluckk had raised $5 million from Exponentia Ventures in its seed round as of January 2022. Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan contributed an undisclosed sum of money to the startup last year.
