OfficeBanao, a platform for office interior design, has raised $6 million in a seed round that was dominated by Lightspeed India Venture Partners. So far, the startup has only been bootstrapped.
According to a press release from the company, OfficeBanao intends to use the funds to increase its headcount from the current 110 to 250–300 by the end of the year.
The Gurugram-based startup, which was established in January 2022 by Tushar Mittal, Akshya Kumar, and Divyanshu Sharma, brings together architects, contractors, designers, material suppliers, and even office furniture providers under one roof to streamline the process for clients.
Additionally, OfficeBanao is advancing workplace interior design by utilizing more recent technology. The platform guarantees a seamless experience for service providers by accelerating the fulfillment of design requirements and streamlining operations.
More than 15 cities, including some of the nation’s underserved tier II cities, currently have OfficeBanao customers. The startup intends to grow to the top 25 markets over the coming few months. It also makes use of websites like LinkedIn and Instagram to draw in new clients in various industries.
In July of last year, Lightspeed Venture Partners raised $500 million for its largest fund focused on India and Southeast Asia.
The venture capital firm with its headquarters in Silicon Valley, which has supported startups like Oyo, Udaan, Sharechat, and Byju’s, has significantly increased the size of its fourth India fund from its prior corpus of $275 million in 2020.
