Online mental health platform Arab Theraby raised $1 M Seed funding

Arab Therapy, the MENAPT region’s fastest-growing online mental health platform, has raised $1 million in seed money to expand its offerings.

An international group of angel investors from the USA, EU, Australia, and KSA backed this funding round, which was headed by the German incubator Flat6Labs, Vision Health Pioneers. Their contribution highlights our shared goal of raising the standard and accessibility of mental health services in our area.

The expansion strategy of Arab Therapy places a high priority on enhancing and expanding the abilities of their therapists. This progress is the result of comprehensive training programs that cover a range of therapeutic techniques and cultural sensitivity and are led by Arab doctors practicing in Germany. These programs are in line with Germany’s stringent healthcare standards. For therapists to be able to provide a wide range of clients with individualized, compassionate treatment, they must continue their professional development. Given the global dearth of qualified Arabic-speaking therapists, this focus is especially important. There is a greater need than ever for qualified professionals who can offer culturally appropriate care as the need for mental health services rises and social stigma declines.

Different from other platforms, Arab Therapy offers a comprehensive service rather than just a list of therapists’ profiles. It facilitates communication between patients and a variety of licensed mental health providers, such as psychiatrists, counselors, and therapists. With the use of technology, this approach places a strong emphasis on individualized care, efficacy, and privacy while lowering the stigma associated with mental health services.

Arab Therapy will be able to reach a wider range of audiences by entering new markets thanks to the recent investment. This expansion goes beyond merely geographical boundaries; it also entails tailoring their services to the particular mental health requirements of various locales, improving their applicability and accessibility.

In order to work with businesses, academic institutions, and healthcare providers, Arab Therapy also intends to launch business-to-business (B2B) sales operations. By means of these collaborations, they hope to expand their reach by incorporating their mental health services into employee wellness initiatives and other institutional support frameworks.

Dr. Tareq Dalbah, Co-Founder and CEO of Arab Therapy. “This funding is crucial for expanding our reach and improving our technology, particularly in addressing the increasing mental health needs that have arisen during the COVID-19 pandemic and the war on Gaza.”
