Online tax platform AyoPajak acquired by Indonesia’s Privy
Online tax platform AyoPajak was purchased by Privy, an Indonesia-based provider of digital authentication services, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2020, AyoPajak provides both individual and corporate tax reporting. Among other things, it offers tax consulting that is under the direct supervision of the national tax authority.
The CEO of AyoPajak, Andreas Saryadi, stated that the partnership would enhance the tax platform’s capabilities, as Privy already possesses government authorization for digital tax certifications.
AyoPajak will also be able to incorporate Privy’s identity verification and electronic signature services. When issued by approved providers like Privy, electronic signatures in Indonesia now possess the same legal weight as physical signatures.
“We hope AyoPajak can become a market leader in the digital tax administration sector in Indonesia that guarantees the security and confidentiality of taxpayers’ personal data,” Marshall Pribadi, CEO of Privy, said in a statement.
Since its founding in 2016, Privy claims that over 3,000 businesses have made use of its services, which have assisted in confirming the digital identities of over 46 million users.
The business raised US $48 million in a series C round led by KKR in November 2022. Privy has raised a total of US $65.7 million in disclosed funding, according to media database.
