Peak XV-backed cybersecurity startup PingSafe acquired by SentinelOne
SentinelOne, a cybersecurity platform powered by artificial intelligence, is going to buy PingSafe for cash and stock.
In July 2023, PingSafe completed a $3.3 million seed round, which was co-led by Sequoia Capital, Surge, and Tanglin Venture Partners. SentinelOne, an independent cybersecurity solutions provider with headquarters in California, has so far purchased three businesses.
Anand Prakash and Nishant Mittal co-founded PingSafe AI in 2021. Unlike other CSPM solutions on the market, PingSafe AI performs thorough scans in addition to cloud configuration checks. The product offered by the company is an enhanced version of CSPM that provides comprehensive analysis of the company’s resources, weaknesses, and cloud credential leaks.
Without affecting your workloads’ performance, PingSafe AI automatically finds vulnerabilities and stops threats from moving laterally throughout the organization, unifying the functionality of CSPM.
The Bengaluru-based company claims that over the past 12 months, its user base has grown by 4X and it has provided services to businesses like Flipkart, Razorpay, PolicyBazaar, SBI General, Tata 1mg, and others.
Combining SentinelOne’s cloud workload security and cloud data security capabilities with PingSafe’s CNAPP should provide businesses with a fully integrated platform for enhanced automation, hygiene, and coverage throughout their whole cloud footprint.
