Pet-parenting mobile app Sploot secured $800K Seed funding from Info Edge, others

A pet-parenting mobile app called Sploot has raised $800,000 in its second round of seed funding, which was led by Redstart Labs, a division of Info Edge, and a small group of angel investors.

According to a press release from Sploot, the company intends to increase the range of services it offers, including dog walking, grooming, and premium ready-to-feed dog food. It also intends to expand its territory.

Garima Kaushal and Arnav Sahni from Delhi founded Sploot, a community-driven digital platform for dog parents to interact and share knowledge. Its app offers educational material on canine behavior, nutrition, and health.

According to the startup, its downloads on the Play Store and App Store total over 100,000. Over 80,000 meals have been delivered throughout the city by Sploot, and over 100,000 dog walks have been provided in the Delhi-NCR area alone.

Since investing $500,000 in Sploot’s first round of seed funding in 2022, Info Edge has been connected to the company. Along with this, Akshay Chaturvedi, Yatish Talvadia, Sanjay Singh, Mukul, and other participants via GripInvest are supporting Sploot.
