Peter Thiel-backed venture debt firm Tacora Capital raised $268.7 M fund

According to a recent filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Austin, Texas-based Tacora Capital, a venture debt firm founded by Peter Thiel, has raised US $268.7 million for its second fund.

According to the document, this investment round included contributions from 28 unidentified individuals.

Tacora’s initial fund, which raised about US $350 million in 2022, is followed by this new one. A US $250 million investment from Peter Thiel was part of this sum.

Since neither Thiel’s representatives nor Tacora founder and CEO Keri Findley offered any comments, it is currently uncertain if Thiel took part in this most recent fundraising initiative.
