Playbook Partners announced $250 M growth capital fund’s first close
With the successful completion of its first close, growth capital firm Playbook Partners raised over $130 million from international investors in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and India.
With the green shoe option, the fund has the potential to grow to $250 million. Playbook will collaborate with tech-enabled, growth-stage companies in sizable addressable markets.
Playbook is an investment firm founded and run by Vikas Choudhury that focuses on tech-enabled growth-stage companies with profitable unit economics that are steadily growing to become market leaders. The company supports businesses with a blended data-driven and strategic approach by fusing capital with capability. It focuses on issues related to digital transformation, such as disruption and distribution, encouraging innovation and consumption in India’s aspirational society.
Choudhury has investments in ten unicorns, as well as in companies that have exited or gone public, including Myntra, PolicyBazaar, Nazara, Mobi, and Fractal.
Dushyant Singh and Sumit Jain are members of Playbook’s senior investing team. Through their family offices or individually, Manish Choksi (Asian Paints), Aakash Chaudhry (Aakash Education), and Milan Sheth (ex-Automation Anywhere) are among its operating partners.
