Pod hotel startup Naptapgo raised Rs 2 Cr Pre-seed funding from IPV

A pre-seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) has raised Rs 2 crore ($233K) for the pod hotel startup Naptapgo.
In order to enable Naptapgo to scale across urban and religious hubs, the proceeds will be utilized to enhance franchise development, marketing, and technology integration.
Nitin Malhotra and Himanshu Shukla founded the startup, which caters to travelers on a tight budget by providing reasonably priced, small lodgings. Hourly stays, flexible check-ins, and AI-powered operational efficiency are all part of its distinctive business model. According to the company, 65% of reservations were made directly through its website and WhatsApp channel.
With a target of 20 properties by FY27, Naptapgo, which is currently operating in the NCR, intends to grow to Gurugram, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Katra, and Amritsar.
Himanshu Shukla, formerly of Chaayos and Jaypee Resorts, and Nitin Malhotra, formerly of Texas Instruments and ST Microelectronics, bring extensive tech and hospitality experience to Naptapgo.
Balmer Lawrie recently gave Naptapgo strategic support, and Anand Mahindra recently endorsed the company for its creative approach to reasonably priced hospitality.
