Premium tea brand Freshleaf raised Rs 1 Cr Seed funding from IPV
Inflection Point Ventures led the seed round for the premium tea brand Freshleaf, which raised Rs 1 crore.
According to a press release from the company, the money will be used to improve research and development for new products, boost production capacity, and extend marketing initiatives.
Under the direction of Muneet Arora and Balkirat Singh, Freshleaf aims to provide premium tea at a price point as low as Rs 130. It has established a significant offline presence since its founding in 2022, having grown to over 550 stores in 40 Indian cities.
By implementing strategic marketing initiatives like interactive tastings, the business has improved customer engagement and brand recognition.
With the goal of improving accessibility and market presence, it is now expanding into the UAE market and dabbling in fast commerce and modern retail.
Freshleaf faces competition from Vahdam Teas, Teamonk, and Young Mountain Tea in the luxury tea market. It’s interesting to note that Inflection Point Ventures also supports Teamonk.
