Prep raised $7 M Series A funding co-led by Cercano Management Asia and Northstar Ventures

Prep is a language learning and test preparation platform with its headquarters in Vietnam. Cercano Management Asia and Northstar Ventures are co-leading the $7 million Series A funding round, which was announced on Friday.

In a statement, Prep said that Touchstone Partners, East Ventures, and Saison Capital also participated in the round.

Prep claims that this $7 million round will enable it to grow its workforce, improve its learning resources, and enter new markets for language products and international territories.

In closing, Prep reaffirmed its dedication to improving its patented technologies in order to extend and sustain its profitability while offering its expanding user base even more customized learning experiences.

“The ultimate vision of Prep is to enable every learner to feel as if they have a dedicated personal teacher and mentor to help them achieve their learning targets,

“This new investment is an important milestone for us in realizing this vision,” said Tu Pham, Prep Chief Executive Officer.

Despite only being four years old, he claims that Prep has scaled its user base to hundreds of thousands, and it is still expanding rapidly.

He said the company can scale quickly and provide high-quality education at a fraction of the typical cost that students would have to pay because of its own proprietary AI technologies, which include the AI-powered Virtual Speaking and Virtual Writing Rooms.

According to him, Prep now serves students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns and cities as well as the impoverished ones in large metropolitan areas because of its relatively cheap tuition.

Tu Pham and his close friend, Chief Technology Officer Nam Tran, founded Prep in 2020 as an online language learning and test preparation platform.

Personalized study plans, interactive learning materials, and AI-powered test and role-playing rooms are among Prep’s current offerings.
