Qualgro, AC Ventures led $6 M Series A funding secured by Supermom
Parenting portal Supermom in Singapore has secured S$8 million (about $6 million) in a series A investment round that was headed by Qualgro and included participation from AC Ventures.
Supermom was established in 2013 to help parents obtain advice and product evaluations from other users. Additionally, it enables parenting businesses to interact with their target market and gather information for user research and marketing campaigns.
More than 20 million parents across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, according to the firm, are currently registered users. More than 200 consumer brands, including Kimberly-Clark, Procter & Gamble, and Philips, are among its clientele.
Founders of Supermom include Luke Lim, Lynn Yeoh, and Rebecca Koh, who were formerly employed by Louken Group, Dentsu Aegis, and Mediacorp, respectively. Joan Ong was the former managing director of international event planner Terrapinn.
The parenting company intends to use the additional funds for regional growth and product development. The “biggest consumer data powerhouse” in the area will also be built with the help of additional personnel.
