Real estate firm Thakral invested $750k in Climate Alpha
An AI-powered analytics platform called Climate Alpha has received a US $750,000 investment from Thakral Corporation, a Singapore-based real estate investment company.
According to a release, Climate Alpha, founded in 2021 by Parag Khanna, use machine learning to produce predictions for land and property value for each year up to 2040 under various climatic scenarios. Before, the business claimed to have already produced risk-adjusted appraisals for more than 200,000 structures.
According to Thakral, the investment is a part of the company’s plan to profit from technological advancements and impact investing. Also, it invested money in InvestaX, a Singapore-based platform for digital securities, and Fraction, a Hong Kong and Thailand-based FinTech company that tokenizes real estate.
Since December 1995, Thakral has been listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) Mainboard. Australia, Japan, and Singapore are the locations of its primary real estate investment portfolio.
