Robotics startup Octobotics raises Rs 10 Cr Seed funding

Octobotics, an AI-enabled NDT robotics startup, has raised approximately Rs 10 crore in its seed funding round, which was led by Navam Capital and included BYT Capital.
The money raised will be utilized to support global expansion, improve field validation, and quicken product development. Additionally, some of the money will go toward expanding operations in the Middle East, Singapore, and India as well as certification procedures.
Ishan Bhatnagar and Gulshan Kumar founded Octobotics in 2020 to develop AI-enabled non-destructive testing (NDT) robotics platforms for inspection in asset-intensive industries like chemicals, power, oil and gas, railroads, and the maritime industry.
It focuses on use cases for inspection in environments that are dangerous and difficult to reach.
The Indian Navy, Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL, HPCL, Aarti Industries, GSFC, and Saudi S-Chem are among the companies that Octobotics currently provides services to. In the previous fiscal year, the startup reported revenue of Rs 2 crore.
Rail inspection systems, automated weld inspection platforms, and specialized NDT tools for elevated and confined inspection zones are among its product offerings. These systems transform inspection data into useful insights for asset operators and automate manual inspection tasks.
