Riyadh: Saudi mobile wallet Stc Pay, which is a subsidiary of region’s leading telecom company Stc, and global payments technology company Visa has signed a multi-year strategic partnership with Visa, the two companies announced in a media statement today.
The partnership that’s first of its kind (fintech) for Visa in Saudi will involve issuance of Visa cards and payment credentials to all Stc Pay customers, enabling them to use the money in their wallet for contactless, scan-to-pay (QR-based), ecommerce transactions, and international remittances.
Stc Pay already has a partnership with Western Union that allows its customers to transfer money anywhere in the world using their digital wallet.
