SG-based Botsync raised undisclosed Pre-series A funding

Robotics firm Botsync, located in Singapore, has secured an undisclosed sum from investors including Seeds Capital, Venture Catalysts, and AngelCentral in a pre-series A round.

The firm disclosed that with the most recent round; it has now received $3.2 million in total.

Botsync is a company that builds industrial autonomous mobile robots for manufacturing facilities and warehouses. It was founded in 2017 by Nikhil Venkatesh, Prashant Trivedi, Singaram Venkatachalam, and Rahul Nambiar. It presently conducts business in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and India.

The MAG robot series is the company’s premier offering. These robots, which are powered by a deep learning system, can create a single map of the working area to enable autonomous navigation in factories and warehouses. Additionally, they are able to move loads weighing up to 1,500 kg.

The start-up claimed that their solution could be implemented in a matter of days for clients in the automotive, heavy vehicle, consumer goods, textiles, clothing, and third-party logistics industries.

The fresh funds will be used by Botsync to expand its solution portfolio and enhance its no-code automation platform, sync OS. In the previous 18 months, the company’s staff increased from 15 to 30 personnel, and during the next two years, it would largely concentrate on Singapore, Malaysia, and India, the company said.

“We are now primed to build strong partnerships with our customers and offer tailor-made solutions that can be implemented flexibly across Asia,” said Nambiar, who also serves as Botsync’s CEO.
