Simplilearn intends to hire 800 people across its various teams

This year, Simplilearn, an online boot camp for digital economy skills training, plans to hire 800 new staff.

The hire is part of the company’s strategy to enhance its teams in India and other foreign markets in order to meet the rising need for reskilling and upskilling. According to sources, Simplilearn’s founder and CEO, Krishna Kumar, will employ talent in product, technology, finance, sales, marketing, and operations.

“Over the past couple of years, the shift to online training and education led to a growth spurt in the number of providers in the industry. The industry is currently witnessing a transition phase with hybrid models of work and study. As demand for upskilling and reskilling programmes prevail, and given our planned and sustained growth over time, we are grateful to continue successfully on the upward path,” said Kumar.

In India, the business is also seeking senior-level personnel. The entire workforce is likely to exceed 2200 this year as a result of the recruiting.

Last year, the edtech firm hired 700 individuals for its various departments.

The company is also trying to hire C-suite executives for its US team and is already forming a consumer team there.
