Singapore-based Ross Digital secured $3 M Series A funding
Ross Digital, a food and beverage robots company located in Singapore, has secured S$4.2 million (about $3 million) in a Series A round-headed by Fraser and Neave (F&N). The campaign included participation from Frasers Property and zVentures, Razer’s venture arm.
Robotic arms that serve coffee and drinks are created by Ross Digital. It has also created an autonomous barista that can be customized to offer a variety of beverages.
In addition to its robotics devices, Ross Cloud is a digital platform that runs the company’s mechanical baristas and provides a suite of digital restaurant solutions, such as smartphone apps, point-of-sale systems, and ordering kiosks.
Ross Digital currently has at least 15 robotic arms deployed in Singapore and China, with a goal of having 40 robotic arms on the market by the end of 2022. Some of its clients include Razer, CNBC, and Alibaba Group.
Gavin Pathross founded the firm in 2017 and plans to utilize the new capital to develop the product and expand into Thailand and Malaysia. It will also work with F&N to distribute products in Southeast Asia.
