Singapore’s Groundup.ai secures over $10 M maintenance contract

The largest contract in the history of Singapore-based agentic AI for cognitive maintenance, Groundup.ai, announced on Monday that it has officially closed a deal worth more than $10 million.
According to a statement from the company, this agreement represents a significant change in the global industrial landscape, going beyond conventional predictive maintenance toward autonomous, physical artificial intelligence (AI) reliability.
In April 2025, Tin Men Capital led a $4.25 million Series A funding round that included Wavemaker Partners, SEEDS Capital, and HIVEN, the venture capital arm of CJ International Asia. This led to the record-breaking contract.
Strong investor confidence in Groundup.ai’s ability to spearhead the industry 5.0 transition is demonstrated by the company’s ability to accelerate its technical roadmap and broaden its regional reach thanks to this capital infusion.
The new agreement, which was obtained following a thorough competitive evaluation, entails the widespread implementation of Groundup.ai’s cognitive maintenance solution throughout multiple critical operations.
The collaboration is a significant commitment from one of the top asset-heavy companies in the world, even though the client’s identity is kept secret due to strategic considerations.
“This isn’t just a win for Groundup.ai; it’s a massive signal for the future of Industry 5.0,” said Leon Lim, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Groundup.ai.
“Global industries are no longer satisfied with just knowing when a machine might fail. They want a system that acts as a virtual expert to tell them how to ensure it never does,
“Closing our largest deal to date validates the vision we shared during our Series A. The world is ready for Cognitive Maintenance that reasons, diagnoses, and guides,” he added.
From heavy industries to advanced manufacturing, this milestone is more than just code, according to Yong Tai, Sales Engineer and Founding Team Member of Groundup.ai.
“It’s about finally bridging the gap between raw and action on the ground.” he added.
Groundup.ai’s COO and co-founder, Alex Wong, stated that the company’s goal has always been to use data to make decisions.
“This contract allows us to execute that mission at an unprecedented scale, proving that cognitive maintenance is the key to unlocking billions in hidden value for the global manufacturing, maritime, and critical infrastructure sectors,” he added.
Groundup.ai claimed to be at the forefront of making industrial operations smarter, greener, and more resilient by bridging the gap between deep domain expertise and machine intelligence.
