Sixth Africa Tech Female Founder Summit to be hosted by TLcom in October

On October 15, in Nairobi, Kenya, TLcom Capital, a venture capital firm with an emphasis on Africa, will hold its sixth annual Africa Tech Female Founder Summit.

One of the biggest venture capital firms in Africa, TLcom Capital, organizes the annual Africa Tech Female Founder Summit. Applications for the sixth edition of the event are currently being accepted.

The 2024 Africa Tech Female Founder Summit, with the theme “Transformative Leadership: Redefining Success in Tech,” aims to bring together, empower, and inspire female founders throughout Africa by providing a forum for mutual learning and the development of supportive networks.

In addition to the female founders of Ejara, Thola, Rasha Rady, and Uncover, this year’s speakers include Nelly Chatue-Diop, Nneile Nkholise, and Sneha Mehta. The summit will also include a number of workshops and mentoring sessions on subjects like “Budgeting and KPI Design” by Daisy Liech (TLcom) and “Growth Strategies and Scaling Successfully” by Wandia Gichuru (Vivo).

Pre-selected startups will also get the exceptional chance to present their businesses and get input from prominent investors in Africa, including Joyce-Anne Wainai of Chui Ventures and Yemi Keri of Rising Tide Africa.

“After navigating one of the toughest years for the tech ecosystem, founders now face a completely new landscape. Capital is still scarce and investors are increasingly pushing entrepreneurs to build, move to profitability faster and scale. But amidst all these demands, we’re missing a crucial discussion – what does it take to succeed in this context, especially as a woman?” said Omobola Johnson, senior partner at TLcom Capital.

“This summit will highlight the high-performance qualities that will empower female founders to rise to the forefront as industry leaders in this demanding environment.”
