South African startup Ctrl has raised US $ 2.335 million becoming the sixth startup to raise funding from Naspers Foundry
Ctrl was launched in May 2017 to help conventional insurance brokers digitalize and optimize their operations, as well as to give better access to underserved customers by enhancing ease and control over their insurance.
Naspers Foundry, launched a ZAR 1.4 billion (US $96 million) fund to help South African digital entrepreneurs build their businesses, was established in October 2018 by Naspers, one of the world’s top technology investors. SweepSouth, Aerobotics, Food Supply Network, The Student Hub, and WhereIsMyTransport are among the companies it has invested in since then.
“We are ecstatic about Naspers Foundry’s investment given their vast experience in growing tech startups. We believe that we are now in the best position to grow our business, and we are excited about Ctrl’s future as we transform the insurance industry,” said Pieter Venter, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-founder of Ctrl.
