Spacetech startup GalaxEye Space raised $6.5 M from Mela Ventures, Speciale Invest
Mela Ventures and Speciale Invest led a new fundraising round of $6.5 million for spacetech startup GalaxEye Space. In addition to Rainmatter, Navam Capital, Faad Capital, and Anicut Capital, ideaForge also participated in the round.
The company stated in a press release that the money raised will be utilized to develop GalaxEye’s multi-sensor payload technology and launch the company’s first satellite, the “Drishti Mission.”
The company was founded in 2020 by Suyash Singh, Denil Chawda, Kishan Thakkar, Pranit Mehta, and Rakshit Bhatt. Its advanced multi-sensor payload enables it to provide precise datasets from space and aerial platforms.
This technology delivers intuitive data—which is essential for industries like defense, surveillance, agriculture, insurance, and aquaculture—by integrating optical MSI and SAR sensors.
In addition, GalaxEye says it has developed the first UAV SAR system in India for the defence market and has successfully completed over 300 flights using UAV SAR payloads.
