Speech analytics startup GreyLabs AI raised over $1.5 M from Matrix
In a seed round headed by Matrix Partners India, GreyLabs AI, a speech analytics platform for financial institutions, has raised more than $1.5 million. Notable investors such as Anil Goteti, founder of Scapia Cards, Vasant Sridhar, founder of OfBusiness, Narasimha Reddy, founder of MoEngage, and Nitin Gupta, founder of Uni Cards, participated in the round as well.
The goal of GreyLabs AI is to completely transform the way that financial companies, banks, and fintechs gather actionable insights from unstructured data—especially speech data produced by email and call centres.
Founded in October 2023 by Aman Goel and Harshita Srivastava, GreyLabs AI assists businesses in deriving insights from their unstructured data, such as email and call logs. Later, Debabrata Basak, Raj Sanghavi, Shivam Gupta, and Shreyas Patel joined the team.
Businesses can maintain regulatory compliance and improve overall operational efficiency by automating the call quality assurance and agent training processes with the platform. Its technology also accurately detects cross-selling and lead generation opportunities during calls.
Cogno AI, a conversational AI platform for banks and other financial institutions that the GreyLabs AI team co-founded, was eventually acquired by Exotel in 2021.
GreyLabs AI faces competition from Uniphore, Mihup, and indirectly from Contiinex, Reverie, and other companies.
