StarNews Business competition invites applications from Nigerian startups

The Global Black Economic Forum (GBEF) and African video streaming platform StarNews Mobile have announced a call for applications for the StarNews Business Competition.
The initiative, which is being carried out by StarNews Mobile and GBEF in collaboration with MTN and the United Nations Agency for International Development (USAID), aims to provide crucial grant funding and partnership opportunities in the United States to Nigeria’s most promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Selected ventures can obtain cash prizes from StarNews up to NGN5 million (US$4,000), gain access to StarNews’ investor network, and increase their company’s national exposure by listing on the StarNews web platform.
Along with joining GBEF’s network of international leaders dedicated to social and economic justice throughout the Black Diaspora, the top three winners will also receive mentoring from the organization’s Academy for Advancing Excellence.
The competition, which takes place over ten weeks, from April 8 to June 14, and is exclusively broadcast on the StarNews Biz Channel on the StarNews platform, provides a venue for up-and-coming business owners to present their projects and obtain national exposure. This place is accepting applications.
