Startup ecosystem: India Accelerator partners with ICICI bank and Infosys
India Accelerator recently announced the launch of the new i3 launchpad. The i3 launchpad is a programme which is designed to nurture and innovate the startup ecosystem in India. India Accelerator has launched the programme in collaboration with ICICI Bank and Infosys Finacle, part of EdgeVerve Systems a subsidiary of Infosys. The main idea of launching this programme, is to back and nurture the community of entrepreneurs who are working towards forming brands that have a global impact.
Startups can register themselves on the i3 launchpad website, where they can access group learning sessions that are currently free for a brief period of time. i3 launchpad welcomes startups from across all industries and will help bring onboard people that possess similar ideas to work together. These startups will work together twice every year with the target being 12 to 18 startups in each group. The first group that has been selected to be on board includes FinTech, enterprise tech & SaaS, proptech, wealthtech, sustainability & greentech, and insurtech.
Deepak Nagpal, Managing Partner, India Accelerator said “Lack of guidance is one of the primary reasons why so many start-ups fail or are not able to carry out sustainable business for a longer period. This is where India Accelerator comes into play as the award-winning start-up accelerator, which has supported over 150 start-ups. Joining hands with Infosys Finacle and ICICI Bank will further add to our expertise. The i3 Launchpad program leverages the experience and strengths of India Accelerator, ICICI Bank, and Infosys Finacle in a structured manner to create meaningful and high-growth startups”.
“India has taken global leadership in FinTech innovation. Yet, there is so much more to achieve to unlock the country’s full potential. As the preferred technology partner to over 60% of Indian financial institutions, we are constantly working with industry participants to Inspire Better Banking. This program is yet another important initiative in this pursuit. The collaboration will aim to help FinTech startups fast-track their growth and impact,” said Sajit Vijayakumar, SVP & COO Infosys Finacle.
