Tanglin Venture led Rs 16.1 Cr Seed funding raised by debt resolution platform Credfix

AI-first debt resolution startup Credfix has raised ₹16.1 crore in a seed funding round led by Tanglin Venture Partners, with participation from Stargazer.

Prior to the latest round, the company had secured ₹4.5 crore from K2 Capital, Invstt Trust and several angel investors.

According to a press release, the new capital will be directed towards accelerating product development, enhancing its AI capabilities and expanding its borrower support network across India.

Founded in 2025 by Ranjan Agarwal, Neeraj Kulkarni and Ayush Kedia, Credfix operates an AI-powered financial recovery platform designed to help borrowers understand their outstanding debt, explore repayment alternatives and manage interactions with lenders. Its services span debt assessment, loan resolution, loan consolidation and AI-assisted legal support.

The platform offers three primary AI-driven solutions: Risi, a virtual financial assistant; Neytra, an AI-powered call shield; and an AI legal assistant. Risi enables users to assess their debt and explore potential resolution pathways, while Neytra helps them manage recovery-related calls. The legal assistant helps borrowers interpret legal notices, prepare draft replies for their review and understand the steps they could take next.

Credfix aims to assist borrowers throughout the debt resolution process, from identifying early signs of financial stress to pursuing structured settlements and rebuilding financial stability. Its platform enables users to evaluate their financial commitments, compare available resolution options, engage with lenders and make sense of legal communications.

The startup claims to serve more than 2 lakh borrowers with aggregate outstanding debt exceeding ₹4,000 crore. Approximately 40% of its users are based in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Technology adoption is also gaining momentum across India’s debt resolution and collections industry. Borrower-focused debt relief platform FREED raised ₹60 crore in February 2026 in a funding round led by Aavishkaar Capital. The company had previously secured another ₹60 crore through a Series A round in 2024.

On the lending and collections side, Credgenics has raised $50 million to develop technology covering collections, litigation management and online dispute resolution. CreditNirvana, a Perfios company, launched Maestro, its agentic AI platform for debt collections, in November 2025 and introduced an integrated AI suite for collections and lending in October 2026.

Meanwhile, CredResolve, which develops AI-powered infrastructure for debt collections, raised a pre-Series A round led by Merak Ventures in April 2026. The funding is intended to support operational expansion and further development of its multilingual AI and voice capabilities.
