The Paan Legacy, Hemptyful, and Polr.Care receive investment from D2C Insider
Three early-stage startups, The Paan Legacy, Hemptyful, and Polr.Care, have received investments of up to Rs 1 crore each from D2C Insider, a networking community for India’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) industry.
These expenditures were made as part of the Elevate Cohort 2 Demo Day, a program run by D2C Insider’s Early-Stage Growth Cohort that supports up-and-coming D2C brands.
The chosen startups, which focus on cutting-edge consumer products, participated in a 12-week accelerator program aimed at assisting them in honing their business plans and expanding their operations.
Industry veterans Aneesh Seth, Vedang Patel, and Kunal Bahl supported the program, which gave the startups business insights, mentorship, and chances to present their ideas to a panel of investors. Amit Jain, the founder of CarDekho, and representatives from DSG Consumer Partners, Mumbai Angels, and Indian Angel Network were among the notable individuals on the jury.
Participants in the accelerator program also received over Rs 25 lakh in credits from top enablers, including Shiprocket, Unicommerce, and WebEngage. As the startups got ready to make an investment pitch, the 12-week program’s live sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and peer networking opportunities provided invaluable support.
D2C Insider was established in 2019 with the goal of expanding the D2C ecosystem in India. The platform has given mentorship and funding opportunities to more than 40 brands through its accelerator program. It is anticipated that a new group of early-stage D2C brands will join the program’s third cohort when it launches in November 2024.
