Third cohort of Flipkart Ventures’ FLA accelerator program now accepting applications
Applications are now being accepted for Flipkart Ventures’ third cohort of the Flipkart Leap Ahead (FLA) accelerator program.
Flipkart Ventures has announced that the companies that are chosen and utilize GenAI in their core solutions across various industries will receive equity investments ranging from $200,000 to $500,000.
Application periods for early-stage technology startups are April 22, 2024, through May 26, 2024.
Selected startups will receive two months of mentorship from industry veterans, operators, and founders as part of the program. A demo day will be the last event on the schedule, where startups will present their plans and progress to possible investors in an effort to get more money for their growth.
In its first two cohorts, Flipkart Ventures has invested in more than 15 startups in industries including deeptech, fintech, healthtech, generative AI, and climate and sustainability.
As part of the Flipkart Leap Ahead accelerator program, FlexifyMe, Algomage, Castler, NimbleBox.ai, and ReCircle are among the five startups that Flipkart Ventures announced in September 2023 that they will support.
VCs are now turning their attention to this emerging market as a result of ChatGPT and a number of other generative AI platforms’ success. While Ema received $25 million, the second-largest funding for an early-stage startup in this field, Sarvam AI raised $41 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed in December 2023. In its seed round, Unicorn India Ventures and Pentathlon Ventures contributed $2 million to Vodex, another Gen AI startup. Matrix Partners India, Nexus Venture Partners, and NTTV led Neysa’s $20 million seed funding round earlier this month.
